School intranet licences are simple to set up and easy to operate. Set up can be completed within ten minutes – depending on how busy your school’s IT department is.
Schools with intranet licences display a Newsademic icon on their intranet, which, once clicked, gives the student access to both the PDF and HTML versions of the latest issue of the newspaper. The link is automatically updated so there is no need for you to replace an older issue with the latest one.
Intranet licences include the newspaper and the accompanying Classroom Activities and Answer Keys.
Students are also able to access all previous issues of the newspaper in both PDF and HTML formats. The HTML version archive is fully searchable and includes ‘mouse over’ meanings of more complex words.
An email message with the newspaper and Classroom Activities as attachments is forwarded to a named member of staff. This email acts as an alert that the latest issue of the newspaper is now available via the school’s intranet.
The Answer Keys for the Classroom Activities are emailed to the named member of staff on the Tuesday following the arrival of the latest issue of the newspaper.
Please note that a school intranet is deemed to be a network within the school, accessible by staff and students only. A school intranet licence does not authorize the holder to place PDF files of the newspaper in a publicly accessible area e.g. a school website.
Intranet Subscribers are permitted to make as many copies of the PDF version of the newspaper as they wish, for use within their own school.
There are two different prices for Newsademic intranet licences: one with a Newsademic banner advert and one without. The banner advert is for use by Newsademic only. No third party advertising will be displayed. The Newsademic banner advert is used to promote the Online Extra features, which are available to Newsademic Individual and Family Subscribers.
